Antigua and Barbuda play host to one of the biggest regattas in the world, the annual Antigua Sailing Week from 29 April to 04 May. 100 vessels including state-of-the-art, high-tech racing machines and performance cruising boats will be taking to the seas, challenged with a variety of coastal race courses. The week attracts some of the world’s greatest sailors and sport enthusiasts to sample the party atmosphere created by such a spectacular event.
Entertainment is not just provided on the glorious clear blue waters, but on land too. Regular holidaymakers can get in on the action and enjoy everything from the vibrant welcome party to the mid week live music concert and the famous Dockyard Day closing ceremony. Each day also ends with a prize-giving party, rewarding those that have achieved sailing success in the day.
