Nactus Kunan
Bumblebee Gecko discovered in Papua New Guinea
About this favourite
The U.S. Geological Survey has announced that they have discovered a new species of gecko in Papua New Guinea. It is about 5inches long with black and gold bandings that provide excellent camouflage in its tropical forest habitat. The bumblebee stripes have helped in the naming process as it is formally known as Nactus Kunan - kunan means bumblebee in the native Nali language.
