Camp Woodward is the largest, purpose built, extreme sports venue in world. Founded in 1970 in Woodward Pennsylvania (central Pennsylvania USA), the venue hosts thousands of aspiring action sports, gymnastics and cheer athletes from around the world. The venue has dedicated areas for each discipline of action sports, including; Freestyle and Racing BMX, Skateboard, Inline Skates, Scooter, Snowboarding/Skiing, as well as venues for gymnastics and Cheerleading.
Camp Woodward offers weekly summer camp programs in gymnastics, cheer, skateboarding, BMX freestyle, inline skating, snowboarding, freeski, and digital arts (video, photo and graphic design) for kids 7 to 17 and also offers weekend getaways designed for families in the off-season.
The site also has areas built for professional action sports athletes, and has hosts rounds of X-Games and similar high profile action sports competitions. There are several indoor and outdoor wooden skate-parks, dirt tracks, concrete bowls, half pipes, mini ramps, and now even a lake for extreme watersports.
Woodward is widely accepted as being the pinnacle in action sports venues, and has even host several levels in videos games include Tony Hawks Pro Skater series among many others.
