Castle Howard, North Yorkshire
About this favourite

Any tour of the North Yorkshire coastal area should include Castle Howard.

The 18th century house is filled with magnificent rooms of varying size, splendour and content, so it's easy to see why this iconic stately home was used as the setting for the Brideshead Revisited production, both of them, in fact, in 1981 and 2008.  The house is surrounded by parks and gardens, while the site as a whole sits in the maginificent setting of the North Yorskshire countryside.

There are plenty of events at Castle Howard, so be sure to search culture odyssey for upcoming activities!
