With falling sales of seaweed following the 2011 tsunami in Japan, advertising agency I&S BBDO were tasked with reigniting the Japanese passion for sushi.  They hit upon the idea of making the seaweed 'wrapper' more inviting and exciting by cutting patterns into it with a laser  -  et voila Designer Nori!

Fascinating on the plate, Designer Nori is wowing Japanese and international diners alike.  Currently only available at selected locations in Japan, the potential is enormous and the laser cut patterns could be on their way to a sushi bar near you if demand continues to grow.
