Glamis Castle has officially opened its doors again for what is shaping up to be a Diamond year with the launch of a Diamond Jubilee Exhibition.
The main features of the exhibition are six dresses, graciously loaned by HM The Queen. The dresses reflect the diamond theme as well as fashion changes throughout the six decades of Her Majesty’s reign. Visitors can view the display in the Coach House Exhibition room until the end of October.
Additional events have been planned for Diamond Jubilee year with Easter weekend activities such as falconry displays, carriage rides, storytelling sessions and Easter Bunny/Egg Hunt.
Friday 6th April until Sunday 15th April
Easter Egg hunt - Children are invited to spot the eggs in various places around the castle and grounds and unscramble the clues to make a word.
The egg hunt is free of charge and small treat will be given to the clever egg splorers !
Sunday 8th & Monday 9th April
With 30 years experience Phill Gibbons will provide thrilling Falconry displays for all ages to enjoy throughout Sunday and Monday in front of the castle. (Ground admission charge applies).
Sunday 8th – Monday 9th April
Storytelling: from 11.30 am – 2.30 pm Jackie Ross will engage adults and kids alike with lots of fascinating Easter Tales put across in an entertaining fashion.

Monday 9th April
Horse and Carriage Rides from 11am – 3.30pm
Vintage Carriage and Elegant horses will provide a perfect way to view the castle grounds at this special time of year. The mile long avenue is swathed in daffodils; the Carriage seats up to six people so why not treat the family to something special this Easter.
