Guerilla knitting comes to Merseyside
About this favourite

Guerilla crochet artist Olek has struck at Crosby, Merseyside, by totally transforming 2 of the 100 Antony Gormley figures that guard the beach.  They have crocheted head to toe outfits, one is pink, purple and green while the other is in a more sedate combination of  grey, white and black. Olek or Agata Oleksiak, a Polish artist, now resident in New York has previously created covers for bicycles, cars, grand pianos and even the iconic Wall Street Bull.  They have all received the Olek yarn bombing treatment which is a more socially acceptable form of graffiti that still draws renewed attention to the subject without causing any damage.
