Probably one of the strangest place names anyone could come up with, my girlfriend and I visited this place for my birthday last year. Head smashed in Buffalo Jump, is a site that was used for 5,500 years by the indiginous peoples of the planes to kill buffalo. They did this by driving the herd towards the 11m high cliff where they would jump to their death in an effort to escape. Sadly the days that millions of Wildebeast roamed this land have gone, but if you close your eyes and have a good imagination then you might be able to re-create the sights and sounds in your mind.
