Luxury British label Mulberry was founded in 1971 to represent what they call "a peculiar British juxtaposition.” It has ever since been recognised for its highly crafted fine leather goods, most noticeably its handbags. Being a massive fan myself I was not surprised to hear earlier on this year that the label is the most profitable in luxury fashion. As most other designer brands were feeling the pinch of the economy, it seems the British brand can do no wrong in their fashion world domination. Mulberry reported their profits having quadrupled over the past year and with a large celebrity following from the likes of Alex Chung and Kate Middleton it is hardly surprising that the fashion house is flourishing.
The new Polly Push Lock textured leather shoulder bag is my absolute favourite of the new collection, closely followed by the Tillie Tote and the Carter Camera Bag. And the Carter Double Handle Bag. And of course every oversized Tillie in the collection. My list just goes on.
