The majority of our holiday accommodation there has been tastefully built and carefully dotted around the stunning coastline offering spectacular views across the sparkling sea. Sardinian food and wine has an excellent reputation and the ice-cream is not to be missed! Fig, olive and wild orange trees cover the countryside intertwined with vineyards that are heavy with fat and juicy grapes come the end of the hot summer.
Porto Rafael is a small village, built around a beautiful sandy cove. The village has a supermarket, a few bars and some fabulous restaurants and is made up of gorgeous white washed houses typical of Sardinia. A small cobbled square with a beautiful church and chapel leads steeply down to another square with a shops and cafes, that look over the white sandy beach across the blue sea to the island of Maddelena.
Porto Rafael is a hidden gem. Picturesque and calm but with enough on the door step to meet holiday maker's needs. Just 45km from Olbia airport, it's also very easy to get to.
