Stonefield Estate Villa Resort & Spa in St Lucia is a boutique resort with a magical and romantic twist. A true hidden gem, the resort is built on a former lime, then cocoa plantation. The 27 acres of tropical paradise features a nature trail with Arawak carvings from the first settlers on the island. Set amongst the natural beauty are 17 villas boasting a rustic elegance and exceptional charm. The villas feature private pools and large balconies with hammocks and dining areas, four poster beds and outdoor garden showers. Built and run by a local family, many of the villa furnishings are hand made by the owners, the Brown family. The mouth-watering cuisine at the Mango Tree restaurant is down to Anista Brown and her family recipies, and use fresh produce from the plantation. There is even a vegan menu. The Bamboo Door spa, yoga pavilion and gym offer a sanctuary of relaxation, pampering and wellness, with a variety of treatments using the local cocoa, lava rocks and mud from the sulphur springs. However, perhaps the best selling point of Stonefield is the jaw-dropping view of the Petit Piton and ocean, seen from many of the villas and the restaurant. Stonefield is a place to retreat, relax and rekindle your romance.
