About this favourite

Shaped like a tall breaking ocean wave, Wave Rock is a natural rock formation 15m (48 feet) high and 110m (340 feet) long, located east of the small town of Hyden in Western Australia that is visited by thousands of tourists to the area.  The rock has been determined to be 2700 million years old.

The location is very important to Australia's Aborigine indigenous people for whom the legend of Mulka's Cave has great cultural significance.
