Africa United - Review
Follow 5 youngsters from Rwanda, desperate to see the World Cup in person, embark on a 3,000 mile walk to South Africa. Along with the incredible cinematic views of the African countryside, Africa United pulls no punches when it comes to some of the darker sides that Africa has unfortunately become synonymous for. These include AIDS-HIV, poverty, child soldiers and prostitution and it is these themes that ultimately define the film.
Despite this, the characters maintain a happy-go-lucky, upbeat attitude throughout the film providing an inspirational message that has the audience rooting for them when it seems they face the impossible.
