Popular Taiwanese singer Rene Liu has publicly announced her marriage via the Internet.
"Yes, I am married. Received a lot of well wishes. Thank you everyone for your concern" said Mrs Liu on her website in a message to fans.
The 41 year-old Singer had always revealed her hope to get married soon, during earlier media interviews. Her Management team later confirmed that she had tied the knot, and issued a statement to give more details of the marriage to gossip hungry journalists and fans a-like.
According to the statement Mrs Liu and her husband, who resides in Beijing, registered their marriage in the Chinese capital on Tuesday. Speculation is rife as to who her husband actually is. The statement only identified the man as 'Mr Zhong' who lives in Beijing and who works in the prospering Chinese finance sector.
Until an official announcement is made by either singer Liu herself or her management team, continual guessing by enthusiasts will spread across Chinese micro-blogging websites.
Chinese celebrities throughout the day have also passed on their well wishes to the newly wed couple.
Despite getting married 'Milk Tea' (Liu's unusual nickname) will continue her musical career- to the relief of her fans.
