The 40th International Exhibition of Inventions of Geneva, the most important in the
world, is now certain to be a special event. With 46 countries, represented by 789
exhibitors showing 1’000 inventions, this anniversary edition is breaking all records. The
exhibition, which is to take place from the 18th to the 22nd April 2012 in Hall 7 of Palexpo,
is to welcome 60’000 visitors.
“We can hardly believe this, given the cost of the Swiss Franc and the economic situation
throughout the world. But once again we have to admit that crises give birth to creation
and that investors prefer to forget about the problems of the stock exchange and place
their money in products with a strong commercial potential” says Jean-Luc Vincent,
President of the Exhibition.
Symbolically, it will be one of the most sophisticated humanoid robots in existence which
will carry the scissors to cut the ribbon during the opening ceremony. An acknowledgement of the excellence of innovation which the Geneva Exhibition, for 40 years now, has promoted.
It is open on weekdays from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
