The Cheltenham festival began in 1860 and is the most prestigous horse racing event in the calendar. With the finest horses from the UK and Ireland competing for glory on the Gloucestershire track. Bookmakers are predicting that an estimated £600 million pounds will be wagered during the 3 day event.

I went last year and managed to avoid winners with an almost uncanny nack. But the multiple refreshment tents in and around the course served for me to come away rather jolly nonetheless.
