Dia de la Tradicion, Day of the Gaucho
An hour or so on the bus from Buenos Aires will bring you to the gaucho town of San Antonio de Areco, the home of the Dia de la Tradicion on 10 November 2011. The crowds turn out for a memorable gaucho and horse festival with a church blessing to start the proceedings, parades, music, dancing, drinking and eating late into the night.
