Dine with the stars at The Sukhothai Bangkok

Andrew Fairlie of Gleneagles joins the hotel’s Art of Dining
21-24 November 2012

Epitomising its reputation for culinary excellence and innovation, The Sukhothai Bangkok’s ‘Art of Dining’ programme, sees some of the world’s most revered chefs creating unique dining experiences at one of Bangkok’s finest iconic hotels.

One of the UK’s most distinguished culinary masters, Andrew Fairlie, will be chef in resident between 21- 24 November 2012, providing diners with a privileged chance to sample his exquisite menu in an indulgent and beautifully unique location.

Renowned for his opulent creations of the most delicate French and Scottish cuisine, Andrew will recreate a selection of his Michelin star masterpieces from his handcrafted restaurant menu, usually based at the world famous Gleneagles Hotel and Resort. His signature dish of smoked lobster achieves its intense flavour from a twelve hour infusion over whisky barrels; the quality is indicative of his emphasis on procuring the most outstanding ingredients from Parisian markets and local supplies. This, amongst a number of his other specialities will be recreated over this special four day period in November.

The French culinary influences allude to his win of the first Roux Scholarship in 1984 and training in the southwest of France with legendary chef Michel Guerard at Les Pres d’Eugenie. ‘Restaurant Andrew Fairlie’ is one of eleven restaurants in the UK to be awarded two Michelin stars alongside being voted as one of world’s top ten ‘Greatest Hotel Restaurants’ by US Hotel magazine.
