Notting Hill Carnival
During London's biggest home grown carnival, the streets of W8 come alive over the August Bank Holiday weekend (27, 28, 29 August 2011) when the Notting Hill Carnival comes to town. Music, dancing, fabulous costumes, street parades and Caribbean food stalls fill the area around Westbourne Grove and Ladbroke Grove. The big procession of floats and dancers on Monday is the climax to the carnival.
