Swordplay Saturdays: A Day in the Sixteenth Century!

This final Swordplay Saturday (the other will take place on 7 July and 11 August) will celebrate the entire range of 16th-century arts and entertainment. Enjoy historical sword-fighting on the lawn, watch the short play ‘Work for Cutlers or a Merry Dialogue between Sword, Rapier and Dagger’ and even met Sir Robert Dudley, favourite of Queen Elizabeth I, and Moll Cuturse, a cross-dressing female ciminal from the Tudor underworld! Families can taken part in art activities and armour handling demonstrations, while adults can attend interesting talks, watch a film, or take part in a fiercely competitive Renaissance pub quiz!
