Barack Obama arrives in Ireland
Ireland is preparing for the arrival of Barack and Michelle Obama amid tight security at the start of their European tour. During their 24 hour stay in Ireland they will hold a formal meeting with the Irish President Mary McAleese and then visit the tiny village of Moneygall, the home of Mr Obama's great, great, great grandfather, Falmouth Kearney, who left the village aged 19 to make a new life in America.
Security will be a priority throughout his stay in Ireland, UK, France and Poland following the heightened risk as a result of the US raid that killed Osama bin Laden.
