Bob Dylan to receive Presidential Medal of Freedom

Bob Dylan is to be honoured with the Presidential Medal of Freedom by president Barack Obama in a ceremony in May. The singer and songwriter was chosen to receive the award, the highest honour which can be bestowed upon a civilian, for his contribution to American culture and to his influence on the 1960's civil rights movement
