(MIAMI) May 4, 2012 – With record-breaking numbers of visitors to Greater Miami and The Beaches and a record breaking number of museums participating in this year’s Miami Museum Month (May 1-31), the destination’s arts and culture scene continues its boom. Organized by the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau (GMCVB), Miami Museum Month brings visitors and residents incredible values to enjoy, including:
• BUY ONE, GET ONE FREE: Treat a friend to an exhibition or explore new cultural territory thanks to "Buy One, Get One Free" admission to any participating museum.
• JOIN ONE, SEE THEM ALL: Don’t limit yourself to just one! Purchasing a membership at any one of the participating museums will serve as a free pass to any of the other participating museums within Miami Museum Month. Visitors who maximize their participation will save more than $50 (approx £31) per adult.
“As Greater Miami and The Beaches has evolved into a year-round destination for business and leisure travelers, it’s no surprise that our destination is thriving. Miami Museum Month has become a fast favorite among our visitors from around the globe and residents alike.” noted GMCVB President and CEO William D. Talbert, III, CDME. “As our cultural scene continues to grow rapidly, diversify and become more vibrant each year, we are thrilled at the success and popularity of Museum Month. We happily welcome four new museums to this year’s program.”
Miami Museum Month increases to twenty-one cultural attractions with the following four participants joining the program this year: the Dezer Collection, Gold Coast Railroad Museum, Holocaust Memorial of Miami Beach and World Erotic Art Museum.
