Painfree needle invented by British designer

A needle that can take the pain and fear out of injections has been invented by Oliver Blackwell, a design scientist based in the UK.  He has spent the past 18 months working with GPs and anaesthetists to refine his design that actually uses 2 needles rather than just one.  The first needle is small and provides a local anaesthetic to mask the pain of the main injection, making the whole procedure less stressful and more comfortable for the patient.
