US says that dissident should be able to travel in 15 days

Chinese dissident Chen Guangchen should be able to travel in the next 15 days as his passport should be issued by 21 May. Chen's dramatic escape from house arrest to the US Embassy in Beijing brought his plight to the attention of the world's press. US Visas have been prepared for Chen and his family and passports are needed before they can be activated.

Chen is a blind self taught lawyer and opponent of China's one child policy.
