The stolen Dali painting, Cartel de Don Juan Tenorio has been returned to New York from Europe. It was intercepted at JFK Airport but the mysterious sender had been thoughtful enough to provide a track and trace number for the Manhattan gallery to ensure safe delivery!

Police have suggested that it may have proved impossible to sell in Europe and the thief had little choice but to return it. Testing is now underway to ensure that it is actually the original and not a copy.
