The countdown has begun to the spectacular opening of Singapore's major new attraction, Gardens by the Bay at the end of June. A combination of  several botanical gardens, Bay East, Dragonfly Lake, Silver and Golden and Heritage, together with a flower dome  with a beautiful seaside setting.  The site is dominated by giant supertrees that provide an environmentally friendly home for hundreds of species while using their photo voltaic cells to provide solar power for the night time illuminations.

The new gardens are set to become an important venue for music, exhibitions and smaller more intimate events like weddings and private parties.
