Inspiration Point is a flat granite shelf, about 50 yards (60m) long, with views of Yosemite Valley that are almost completely obscured by trees! If you climb down to another granite shelf, about fifteen feet (5 meters) below the main one, you will find an unobstructed view of the valley tucked between the trees.
