Never-seen-before artefacts have just been unearthed in China, including 120 new terracotta warriors. The exciting excavations come alongside the opening of two new sections of the Great Wall of China and the shock discovery that the wall is longer than previously thought. China’s new finds are available to visit on a number of Wendy Wu Tours with prices starting at £1,590 per person for a ten day tour.
The ground breaking excavations took place earlier this month at Qin Shihuang UNESCO World Heritage Site, located in the province of Xian and are said to date back 2,000 years. 310 pieces have been unearthed in total and highlights include a never-seen-before war drum and painted shield.
Manuel Mascarenhas, Managing Director at Wendy Wu Tours, says: “This latest discovery is very exciting and will certainly help highlight this extraordinary region of China. The Terracotta Warriors are at the top of the list for many Wendy Wu customers and the latest discovery offers a wonderful reason to visit.”
