Viñales
About this inspiration
This picturesque little town beholds a beautiful mountainous landscape and lush greenery. Viñales is located in the North-Central Pinar del Rio Province of Cuba, and is made up of mainly one storey wooden houses.
This town was colonised in the 1800s by tobacco growers who had come from the Canary Islands and by 1878 had become established as a typical community with many facilities open to the population, including churches, schools and hospitals.
Attractions here are abundant and include Casa de Caridad Botanical Gardens and Valle de Viñales national park.
This part of Cuba may be small in area, but it holds a lot of character and a lot of beauty that is just waiting to be awed at.
