The capital is the planned city of Islamabad, however the two largest cities are Karachi and Lahore. Karachi is a huge metropolis with architecture from colonial and post-colonial periods. Lahore, the main cultural centre, has fine Mughal architecture like the Jehangir’s Tomb, the Badshahi Mosque and the Shalimar Gardens, created by Shah Jehan, builder of the Taj Mahal. Cricket and hockey are the most popular sports.
